ACC power rankings: Florida State hits new low; Clemson, NC State shuffle ahead of big Week 4 matchup

Week 3. The conference posted an 8-4 overall record and suffered just one loss among its top-10 ranked teams, Boston College’s six-point defeat at No. 8 Missouri. Updated ACC power rankings entering Week 4 reflect the conference’s highs and lows last weekend.

Florida State started the season as the highest-ranked ACC team in the AP Top 25 but tumbled down our power rankings after a eye-opening 0-3 start. The Seminoles are the only team in the ACC without a win this season and are the first team to start 0-3 after having an unbeaten regular season the year before since Arizona State in 1976. Noles247’s Brendan Sonnone said FSU is “just plain bad.”

NC State at Clemson headlines four conference matchups this week. The Tigers moved up the rankings last week after its blowout win over App State, while the Wolfpack slid after disappointing performances in each of its first three games.
